The main reason for choosing to camp at Coldhams Common rather than Cherry Hinton was having my car next to my tent, the other was that there were showers at this site. I later heard that the water supply had dried for three quarters of the cubicles about an hour earlier.

I'm partial to a runny yolk, but not a runny white. The bacon was OK, the beans not so and the mushrooms seemed to have been heated by lighting a swan vesta under the tin. The sausage came in useful though as I needed a replacement tent peg.

I walked from Coldhams to Cherry Hinton to make use of the cash point at Sainsbury's. This guy had a builder's sack of grass cuttings and hedge trimmings which was more awkward than heavy. He asked for a hand, I was happy to oblige.

48. A Gallon of Ale this photo didn't get uploaded due to problems with ping.fm but was taken at about 23:15.
The bar manager offered 8 pints of Adnams for £10.00(it would have been worth about £27.00) as it had been pulled by mistake and the bar was soon to close. I had some help killing one off that evening, and some more with the other the next morning! This highlighted one of the few issues I had with the Festival. The bar closed 5 minutes after the last act was supposed to finish and it was impossible to get from either of the two stages in that time. As this is a council run event I could not see why an extension until midnight was not granted.

I met some nice people a the front of the Hayes set two of whom (Lucy and Mo from Kittyhawk) were playing at quarter to one. I made it with about a minute to spare and heard oldtime mandolin and clawhammer banjo.
